How buying works

Plain answers to the questions people ask before they buy.

Original drawings

There is one of each. When a drawing sells, there is no other. The price is on each drawing. You can pay in full, or over time with Shop Pay at checkout.

Prints

Limited edition prints are signed and numbered by me and come with a certificate of authenticity. When a run sells out, it is not printed again.

Open edition prints are professionally printed to order on fine art paper and shipped straight to you. They are not signed and do not come with a certificate.

Shipping

Prints ship free in the US on orders of $100 or more, and $4.90 under $100. Original drawings ship insured with signature required, and that shipping is quoted separately. You get a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships. Prints and originals may arrive in separate packages.

Outside the US? Send me a note before you order and I will work out the shipping with you.

If something arrives damaged

Send me a note with photos of the box and the piece within 7 days of delivery, and I will make it right.

Commissions

A commissioned drawing is made of words. You send the words. I draw them into the picture. Child portraits, memorial portraits, celebration of life drawings, and group pieces for programs, bands, and authors.

The price is the size of the drawing: length times width, times $4 per square inch, $320 minimum. Smaller pieces that come to less are priced at $320. An 11 by 14 inch drawing is $616. A 16 by 20 is $1,280. A 24 by 30 is $2,880. Custom sizes are welcome.

Submission fee: Pay the $25 project submission fee with your proposal. If I accept, it is credited toward your total. If I decline or do not respond within 30 days, it is refunded 100%.

Payment: 50% at the start of the work, 50% when the piece is finished. Payment plans available for larger projects. Contact Michael to set one up.

Optional tip: If you feel the finished piece was exceptional, you can tip via Buy me a coffee. Tips are optional.
